Color: medium garnet Nose: menthol, potent eucalyptus, some cedar, purple flowers Palate: unripe blackberry, oak wood, wood smoke, very light soap Mouthfeel: medium body, medium long finish, touch juicy
Actually believe this bottle was better than the previous one - more balanced and nuanced flavors. Probably as good as it gets.

Color: medium dark black cherry Nose: very muted tar, oak, almost no nose Palate: tannins, black pepper, red fruits now nearly gone Mouthfeel: soft, medium dry, short finish
I think this wine is 1 year past it’s prime. Still enjoyable but has already peaked.

Since I only paid $13, I wasn't expecting a religious experience. Even so, I was disappointed. In at least one prior vintage, I found this to be quite tannic (more so than La Ciglette), so I gave it an extra year before trying one. Probably a mistake. Struck me as rather tired and lifeless. Not horrible, by any means, but there are a ton of better CDRs out there for even less money.

About the same as a bottle roughly 6 months ago. Nice minerals and herbs du Provence, but it's plainly tired. Beyond time to drink up.
