on night one this was hot and felt too young with oak that was overbearing, on night two this really shined alongside the '03 Pride Claret Reserve, on night two the tannins were powdery and smooth and there was some fruit with some apricot and cedar overtones… nice cab but i think this will be better in five to ten years
Popped and poured with a nicely crusted ny strip! A big wine with lots of red fruit and currant. This wine seemed a little tight and tannic I think it could have benefited with decanting which I will definitely do on the next bottle. I believe this wine still has some aging potentiial.
Pop and pour. Very big wine, in what is probably its best drinking window. Dark color, showing zero signs of age. Muted nose. On the palate, lush, extracted chocolate is the predominate flavor. Tannins are all smoothed out. My wife loved this wine...I used the word 'flabby' once. Easy drinking, a bit too easy, would have liked to see a bit more structure.
