Tasted after 1 hour of air. Medium ruby color. No bricking at all. Some muted floral notes. Round red berry currents with some drying tannins. Excellent balance. Plenty of floral lift on the midpalate. A perfect amount of crunch. Medium plus finish. Showing no signs of fading.

Complex wine. Red plum, blackberry and cassis. This is in a very good place right now and the initial hit of fruit is followed by a lovely complex spiciness. The finish is long and pleasant.

Coravin pour with grilled London broil. Probably didn’t give enough time in the glass to fully open up.
The nose is full of dark fruit. The mouth feel is a little light but there is a big hit of sour cherry, and black plum. Not much in secondary notes (I think some air time probably would have brought them out) though. Smooth but not lush the finish is moderate although one dimensional.
No question the last minute decision to pour didn’t do this wine any favors. It is in the drinking window but should be opened some time prior to drinking.

A bit fruit-forward upon opening, it then came into its own one hour in. Very high acid, and notes of black currants, blueberries, red cherries and black pepper. Not very complex but utterly enjoyable, and very food-friendly. Also, just a smidgen sweet on the finish, with a soft saccharine-like aftertaste.14.4% ABV. 91-92
