WOW!!! I went to my cellar and pulled this bottle out and said "Its overdue to drink" I bought this recently in an auction lot and really didn't expect it to be quality drinking. Was I ever wrong.
The color was a slightly gold, bright yellow. The wine lead sweet but quickly balanced with bright citrus acidity. The primary flavor was a nutty Kiwi or lychee. Balance of this wine was phenomenal. Finish was a tart-sweet fruity flavor followed by a tongue tingling dryness. This wine was absolutely at its prime. YES, good Kabinetts can be saved for 20+ years and improve as they age. The bottle had a loose cork that was slightly seeping but was still (barely) functional.
