tasted non-blind with grilled sirloin & baked potato. Not decanted. Cork crumbled on opening, but no evidence of any seepage. If you like your cabs with a lot of age, this one is quite nice. There's still fruit there but you have to look for it - - and in exchange for your effort you find yourself unimpeded by any rough edges at all. The alcohol is not apparent and the mouthfeel is soft and pleasant. It's not fragile yet - but aging gracefully. If I had more bottles, I'd plan to drink them soon -- it's not urgent but it's getting close. Well enjoyed.

think this one is a touch past its drinking window - tannins have completely resolved, slight bricking on the edges, but a but thin on the mid palate, especially when compared to other Tom Eddy cabs - restrained flavors with the fruit having subsided, a bit of red fruits - on the plus side, the nose is still very elegant and enjoyable, with a touch of anise - still drinkable but not what it must have been at one time.

intense ruby color. classic cabernet nose, very bdx-like, from an opulent vintage maybe. developed aromas, just starting to enter my personal drinking window. on the palate very balanced fruit, acidity, tannins. bought this at an auction, not really knowing what to expect. I really enjoyed this wine and will aproach the first of the two bottles left in about 3-5 years. 92p
