  Fruit forward and less powerful than most Aussie Shiraz’s which was nice. Medium plus depth.

  Opaque dark crimson with black fruit and spices on the nose. Medium to full bodied and not lacking concentration or structure with reasonably smooth tannins and on the blue / black fruit. Just seems a little clipped on the midpalate and lacking a bit of freshness for my palate. I find that this wine works well for non-wine nerds who find Pinot Noir a bit too light and subtle, so on Xmas Day my sister duly preferred this one to the lovely Burgundy. I cannot quite understand how Jancis gave it 17.5. Unsubtle and probably best served chilled at a summer meat fest BBQ. From standard fare glassware.

  Solid wine, has the penfolds stamp, not the jamminess/sweetness of is barossa colleagues, blueberries, plum, spicy, full bodied, tannins have mellowed at 8 years , in good balance, lingering finish, right in its drinking window, crowdpleaser

  Nach dem Öffnen sofort parat und schön zugänglich...wurde im Laufe des Abends aber immer flacher und uninteressanter...gemäss Beschrieb ein Wein zum Lagern...hm, ich glaube das bleibt ein durchschnittlicher (guter) Wein, aber von Penfolds gibt es massig Besseres
