Lots of classic Northern Rhone intense, black fruit and spice, even if not showing the classic Cote-Rotie bacon fat character. Powerful and reasonably fresh black plum, black pepper and some licorice, incredibly fresh and charming from this "mediocre" vintage. Wonderful now, I don't see further upside from here.
Another 1992 LaLa showing extremely well. First, the youth of this wine is incredible, much more than the '92 Landonne. This could go another 10 years easy. Very aromatic, some oak and floral tones, smoke and sausage with red fruit. The palate shows more of mix between red/dark even if the sweet red fruits dominates. Again some smoky oak, more subtle than the nose. It does not have a ton of acidity but this is pertectly balanced. Quite long finish. Very syrah with the oak being nicely integrated. Overall a really great wine maybe lacking a little complexity but still showing a nice freshness. Powerful yet feminine.
