This wine had an over ripe CA Syrah nose which was encouraging. I decided to not decant this wine. I would say that I believe this was the correct decision. My major issue with this wine was that the finish was very green and vegetal. Even a little thin. Now I see why other tasters say that this wine is at end of life. I have seen this with other Red Car wines and it has not always been true. Unfortunately it was true with this bottle. Drink up.
