I had assumed this would be worthless, but was inspired to open this by a CT note from a year ago. This is still very good to excellent, especially first night. (went downhill second and third nights under pump). But fruity and balanced, not flabby or pruney as I would have expected. Stored temperature controlled for 15 years. Guess this was serious pinot after all.

Spectacular! Noise and palate of a well aged Burgundy without the tannin. Earth and grass blend with mature bing cherries in the nose. Smoothly courses over the tongue with minimal tannin and well aged ripe bing cherries.Surprising significant earth tones throughout. Moderate finish. Lovely, even a white wine only drinker loved this wine.

Still a touch of tannins, the acidity is a bit spiky, black cherries and raspberries on palate. Fruit is alive, but there is still a feeling this might have seen better days. Acidity never really seems integrated, but ok with the food. A glass later as I do dishes seems rough without food. B/B-

Pinot Fight night (West Vancouver (Jeff's house)): This was a bonus wine from Peter. It is deceptively Old-Worldy. Starts off with some pong/stink on the nose. But on the palate, a nicely ripe, well-mannered pinot that seems to be fully resolved now. Nice wine with fine balance.

Love this Cali Pinot. Aging beautifully. Sad it's my last.
