Still very young – with the vintage mark of roundness and sweetness. A bit short and one-dimensional for Dönnhoff, but the balance is impeccable, and even on the third day after ope4ning, there are no signs of decline and the acidity is still crisp and alive. Dinner chez moi.
A touch spritzy at first with good minerality showing. Subsequent day this was singing - not over the top in ripeness by any means considering the vintage. True riesling geeks won't consider this great but P and I loved this.
An evening with Ib B (Frederiksberg): Still young, but approaching maturity, thanks, probably, to the hot vintage; citrus and minerals are dominating, and yes, acidity is low (but still very present), and the wine is creamy and in balance. A lovely drink now and the next 10 years, surely. 92+.
