1/3. This one seemed a little tired off the pop with a bit of a tired, stewed fruit vibe, but it fortunately opened up with a little time. I actually think the Wine Enthusiast review is pretty spot on here: "Aromas of leafy underbrush, mature berry, chopped herb and mocha lead the nose. The firm, full-bodied palate offers black cherry, licorice, menthol and clove alongside polished, fine-grained tannins." Getting a bit of floral on the nose as well, which is nice.

Opened and decanted. This was a nice standard barolo and went over very well with the group that I was with who appreciated the quality of the wine. It's got darker fruits and a bit of that mineral slightly iodine quality. Great for the tapas that were meat based. Enjoyable.

Also sold under the Terre da vino brand this disappointed. Had the dryness, long finish and nose that I love about Barolo but failed to click on the palate.

Very enjoyable, I would say it’s drinking quite well now however tannic grip on the back suggests a bit more patience to reach zenith. Quite restrained overall, it has moderate intensity on the fruit factor...cherry and kirsch notes on both nose and palate, pronounced tabacco, fresh raspberry purée, licorice. Acidity is moderate but bringing enough freshness to pick the fruit up on the front and especially mid-palate. However the finish is a bit abrupt and tannins take over. It’s not unpleasant but if the fruit holds out I believe a few more years will help.

Plenty of life and fruit left, but still tannins but refined. Really nice Barolo. Drink through 2023
