  • Chilled and then quickly decanted, but needed half an hour to fully open up. Slightly ridiculous brown colour in the decanter but it didn’t look quite so bad in the glass. Not a heavy nose, notes of liqueur and liquorice with some marzipan. Complex nutty flavours on the palate with an increasingly long finish of sweet hazelnuts, veering towards desert wine territory but not at all sticky. Very complex and enjoyable but needs simple food.

  • I just don't like this. I don't know if it's oxidized or what....it just tastes like stewed apples. Doughy, lemon creme, truffle oil....hard to drink. Nothing I'd want in a Rhone white.
