  Very dark, very lush. Black fruit over red. Very nice structure for the age. A wonderful Burgundy wine - needs to be paired food wise with smoky.

  PNP. Cork wet to top and soft, but appeared intact. this was the wine of a very good night by a long way. Dense color just starting to show age, dense fruit that is as supple as it is rich. enduring finish. Unlike many of her French brethren, madame manages to achieve this density without overt signs of overextraction or oak. finesse is a great word. really a special wine. Thanks Mike!

  Post Musique & Vin Festival BYO Dinner (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Black and red cherry, extremely lush but with enough structural support to remain nicely balanced. Moderate spice. Good depth and length.

  Dinner with Marueen, Steve, Vijay, Victoria, Paul and Bartholomew. By the Spectator and the only other tasting note on here I expected a totally different wine that what I tasted. This is not a monster of a wine, or at least it's not anymore. It's very refined, very elegant and silky smooth like the other tasting note said, but the flavors could have used another few hours in the glass to begin to appear. I would dare say this wine is in a closed phase and would not open another bottle for at least 5 years or so.

  The colour is slightly evolved, but not much more than 10 years ago. The bouquet jumps from the bottle, marvellously intense and complex. So compelling that you are litterally spellbound ! The texture is oh so perfect, no edges, totally silky and smooth. A great wine !
