I enjoyed this fizz with a dozen briny Maine oysters. Light biscuit, as well as fruit, but nicely balanced with delicate bubbles. Did not overwhelm the oysters, but did complement them. It was a very nice combination, one worth revisiting.

A biscuity and bitter sparkler. The palate is chalky, and my bottle (as opposed to clb's) seems to show scarcely any fruit. The bubbles are small and refined, but the wine is not otherwise exuberant. The lengthy finish is the strongest element here -- it shows mostly minerality and still more chalkiness. All in all, this doesn't compare favorably to its counterparts from Champagne, but it's decent enough for $25.

Delightful sparkling wine from a favorite vintner in Sonoma County.

Lots of toast, butter and nuts with this one. I thought it needed a bit more acidity to balance it out. A nice brut.
