Fading, but I doubt I will be in as good a shape as this is if I even get close to 100 years of age. On the tertiary side with a focus on its tobacco, burnt wood, cedar, graphite, floral, herb, and red currant characteristics. Medium-bodied, and bricky in color, the light palate served up elegant red fruits, spice, and earthy notes. This is bottled history in your glass. What a treat and thrill to taste. Drink from 2023-2028.

Drank this next to the wonderful Cos d'Estournel 1928. Ullage lower than the Cos. Too bad but this was a bit of a graveyard: life left a while ago. Very unpleasant bouquet, stale and waste. Somewhat better when tasting but overall a pass. But one can only expect to find 1 bottle out of 10 (?) to be in shape at this age.

Sadly this was badly maderized. However in tasting the wine you could see the intense tannin and structure that was once there. Too bad.

Recorked by Cordier in the 80s. Still some read fruit, a little unclear and musty nose, better in the mouth: very long, clean, lovely finish.
