Took a big chance on this wine. This is a 14 year old Zin! And it was going strong and could have kept going.
Ruby to Garnet bricking on the rim with a depth of complex colors. Nose was wonderful bramble & blueberry with heat & some tar coming out. Black, red & blue fruit are well intermingled and folded into the tannins giving a well strucutred and balanced wine. The fruit must have been huge in the day because it was still singing well now - rich blueberries, strawberries & huckleberries in a nice cream. Smoky green, black peppers with cedar notes round out the profile in a nice long finish.

Insignia Vertical @ Joe C: Dark purple color. Thick, jammy, black raspberry nose and palate. Ripe and delicious with a long finish. Excellent.
