14.1% alcohol. Black cherry color. Gorgeous nose of black cherry, blackberry, rich earth, and spice notes. In the mouth, serious focus and concentration, with pure cherry and blackberry fruit coupled with deep earth notes, light spice, a touch of floral and mushroom, and good acidity. The mouth feel is velvety and smooth, the balance is impeccable, and this is a seriously impressive wine that will continue to age well for another 3-5 years. A

This is in such a great place right now. It can clearly live for many more years and I'd even guess it would develop further tertiary elements. Distinctly california but well-balanced, this is a stellar bottling from siduri and has me interested in finding more.

PnP. Overt cherry, spice and toast (oak) on nose. Creamy palate with light acidity. Pleasant and 'fruity'. Not overblown, but lacks any refinement. Okay with midweek pasta. Will repost on day 2 if new characteristics emerge.

Berries on the nose with a very peppery finish...went well with a cedar-planked grilled salmon steak!
