Christmas dinner: Nose of passion fruit, orange, papaya and mango. The palate is exquisite, echoing the nose with its exotic fruits combined with a round mouth feel, balanced with a good acidity on the finish. Good dessert wine value.

Not a bad late harvest sauvignon blanc. I kinda like this style of wine. Good as an aperitif or with (or as) dessert. But not very complex (typical, in my experience, of late harvest whites). Should it be blended with some late harvest Chardonnay? High average to good.

We tasted this one against the Quarts de Chaume 2000 and what a beating this one took. It was a clear new world x old world style and it was not fair to compare these two. The Late harvest is very monolythic, one dimensional wine, passion fruit and honey on the nose, nice body but not enough acidity and a creamy finish. The french was very complex on the nose, much more elegant, a perfect balance on the mouth, very complex aftertaste and multi-dimensional. The chilean have some good ground to catch up.

Wine Education Service - Just Desserts (South Hampstead High School): A fruity sauvignon nose with a bit of sulphur.
Very fruity (raisins), some sulphur, quite full.
