In a pretty good spot 20 years on... tannins still have a solid presence, good structure and length and generally interesting flavor profile w fruit and nicely developed secondary flavors. Not a great bordeaux but enjoyable w backyard BBQ
Tasted this wine with some game (roe deer). This is also my first Troplong Mondot I ever tasted.
As described by somebody here before, the nose is indeed a little bit faint, but the colour is still quite red, for a wine with such an age. I expected an old, exhausted wine, but it was still very strong on the palate without much acidity (what I would expect from an older wine). Very long and very pleasant finish.
