Perfumy dried fruit nose with some raspberry coming through. Animality, toffee, green apple liquorice and slight wood. Medium bodied and pretty balanced palate with lovely tannic bite. Nuanced flavor profile with notes of wet stones, darker fruit with raspberry brightness, dusty cedar, liquorice, seasalt, slight mushroom and stingy herbs. Lengthy. Despite the warm year fruit I found this pretty rewarding and I'd definitely like to try a cooler vintage.

polaner fall 06: this is a fun qpr. thanks lyle! lots of character (including cat pee, and mint) great acidity and a wine that would probably go well with something like a light tomato based pasta.

Polaner Selections Fall Preview Tasting (New York City): Medium ruby color. Weird nose of herbs (almost Sauvignon Blanc cat's pee), mint and red fruits. On the palate it is more straightforward coffee and red fruits. Interesting and different.
