  • So sad this is my last one of these. Opened tonight because I was afraid of waiting until it had started downhill, but that definitely has not happened. Maybe a little less floral than it used to be, but more depth, a little more layered, tobacco, maybe a little tar, mint, and, oddly, something tropical right at the end. As I said in a previous note, one of the all-time great QPRs.

  • I am so sad that I am down to one bottle of this. It is smooth, flowery, with subtle mineral underpinnings, and hints of tobacco and earth. One of the best QPRs of all time.

  • This is a noticeably richer wine with more depth and texture than it had when I first tried it a few years ago. Still has that lovely floral character. White pepper, soft tropical fruit framed by pencil lead and sharp tannins to bring it all into relief. Tremendous cab franc and tremendous value. I wish I had cases and cases of this left.

  • I really like this wine. It is really starting to smooth out, seems to be evolving quickly. Great price and great exemplar of Loire red. Louis/Dressner.

  • This has evolved nicely. Rounder, fruitier, but still nicely floral. Maybe hints of tar, but subtly. If you like Cab Franc you will love this. Just picked up 5 more bottles.
