Soft and mellow, this wine has a slight nose of tropical fruit followed by well-integrated flavors of ripe pear, banana, and orange rind. The texture is silky smooth, with just enough acid to keep it light and lively on the palate. As of this tasting, it had almost 5 years on it and was still full-flavored and refreshing. An ideal picnic wine. Columbia Crest's quality at this price point is virtually unbeatable.
Golden straw color. The nose had pear and a light note of dried tropical fruits. The palate was clean and refreshing with some citrus and a touch of honey. This was a great bargain for $3.99. A real nice and simple Summer wine that paired well with chicken satay and peanut sauce.
