nose: dark plum, hint of spice and a funny coconut sensation that reminds me of sunscreen. palate: THe mouthfeel is quite nice, medium, and filled with sweet plum juice and a bit of tart cherry. Some toasty caramel coat the finish, which is med-long. The alcohol is a touch obvious, but other than that, I can find no faults with this wine. It doesn't have a lot of flair, but it is a really nice drinkable merlot. Whether it's worth $28 is up for debate.

Tasted at the winery.
VERY drinkable. Smooth finish, bright fruit. Quality from a challenging vintage.
