Short note - ripe apricot, orange marmelade, flint, fruit stone, well structured, but lacks some flavour intensity and should be drank now, nose is better than the palate. Very good quality 89p

Koehler-Ruprecht The best Dries and some add-ons; 6/23/2019-6/27/2019 (Neuhof am See): Semiblind. All wines decanted for a few hours. Gabriel Standard glas. Flights of three, All KS dry wines of Spätlese, Auslese, Auslese R und RR. I guessed right for the vintage. Juicy, balanced, yellow Stone fruits. Very fresh, in the late palate I missed a bit depth and precision. First I thought 2001 but it has not the elegance of this vintage. Sure if you know it. Smile. 94

Koehler-Ruprecht: Complete Saumagen vertical of all Spätlese and Auslese R and RR plus X (Neuhof am See, Dillingen, Germany): *** please understand this note in the context of the whole vertical tasting ***
Glass: Gabriel Standard
Tasted blind.
Warm fine nose with some caramel, smoke, violets, apricot.
Classic Saumagen with chalky mineral notes, herbs and nice yellow fruit, some fresh citrus. Lean and elegant, wonderful length. Good potential. 92-93+
