  Big explosive nose of toasty oak, smoke, piedmont earth, tar, coffee bean, and cocoa! Very open and complex aromatics. Very smooth, well concentrated, and pure on the palate. Somewhat silky mouthfeel, without any astringency. Very elegant flavors of dried fruits, rasberries, strawberries, coffee, and cocoa! Still a little tannic on the long finish, but not overbearing. Very good! I do not think this offering is available in the U.S. I bought it in Rome four years ago and flew back with it. About $45 at the time of purchase, and easily worth it!!
