This wine was irresistable when it was young, and it is still great. Starting to show some age now, and I suspect it is in a bit of an in between phase. Hints of straw and honey, together with a clear mineral / stony aroma. Ripe fruit: lychee, lemon, peach. Hints of nuts and spices on the finish. This still has a long life ahead of it, and a beautiful life it will be.

Maybe in a closed phase right now. Upon opening there was a surprising but excellent level of sweetness. Great power lurking underneath. Really complex herbal characteristics and fruit. Alcohol seems to be a bi lt awkward but only at 12%. Will be better in time and worth putting away.

Explosive; rich pear and peach fruit framed by herbal accents and the start of developing smoky/petrol elements. Tremendous richness and power here, with a nice acid spine beneath keeping it very fresh. A coiled fist of a Riesling.

This is big and rich and sweet for a kabinet level Riesling. Carmelized sugar and slightly oxidative notes (I assume intentinoal) and MacIntosh apple zing. The RS has some heft, but is more about presence than sweet.
