Brick red colour with a mature nose showing wonderful layers of licorice, tarragon, red berries and black pepper, dried herbs and flowers over the time of drinking. Mature palate with smooth tannins and dried hip roses and dried fruit. Lengthy finish showing dried herbs. This probably feels over the top for many, but I think it worked very well together with food.

Brick red colour with a mature nose showing dried black pepper, salt licorice and herbs. Mature palate with softened tannins hip roses and fruit that is drying up. This was a very nice Barbaresco at 28 years of age, still showing plenty of life. Best after a two hour decanting and extra time in the glass and together with a juicy steak. Best 2009-2019.

Lighter body than you’d expect, lively acidity, subdued tannins, super long finish. Chocolate, earth and honey.

Lovely mature nebbiolo nose, medium bodied, good length, but the nose is better than the taste. Drink now.
