Bottle in great condition: into the neck, cork came out in one piece, excellent hue ( golden). Clearlt showing the cool, high acid character of the 1972 vintage. Fairly discreet but stylish nose, levely acidity, candied fruit character. Nicely balanced with a relatively dry finish as is often the case in these older Sauternes/Barsac wines. Not the most intense but very pleasant with dessert. Will continue to age nicely if bottle in good condition.

4th Annual Wilson School Auction Tasting: Cork in good shape, from secondary market -pretty orange/copper -some caramel vanilla components -med acidity, med- weight, noticeable but not cloying sweetness -decent but lacks some depth and complexity

PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs -orange/copper -some vinyl component blows off, orange marmalade, picks up some delicate caramel, lighter weight, elegant, moderate sweetness -great acidity gives it verve, very nice now, won't likely improve but lots of life left
