Brought my last bottles to tonight's wine group dinner at Two Chefs. I - and several others - thought this was an excellent with the swordfish second course. Light yellow color. Floral nose that is a good tip-off to a Rhone wine. Full bodied with good acidity and length. Wish i had bought more.
Light straw colour, no oxidation at all. Big nose, very oily, white flowers, touch of honey. Finish quite mineral and a bit hard. Quite fat - definitely a wine from the south/sun, low acidity. Ageing well.
Last of my bottles. While the fruit has declined in forward freshness and acidity somewhat, its other dimensions are really coming on. Rich gold color, with a noseful of dried apricot and honeysuckle. The mouthfeel is fantastic, almost the viscosity of a rich dessert wine (without the sweetness, of course). Golden delicious apple and savory herbal spices on the finish (think caraway, though that's not exactly it). Outstanding wine.
