Colourful appearance. Quite a fat riesling nose of ripe apricots and oranges, some dried fruits, honeyed botrytis and minerals - but not that much petrol. A huge mouthful of said aromas, baskets of rich ripe fruit, about fifty grams of sugar and an almost thick, viscous texture. But there's freshness to balance: nice integrated acidity, lively minerals and hints of co2. Lots of pleasure to be found here! Especially on its own - and as it seems, a longer cellar perspective than we guessed in 2008. Good to have one bottle left.

Great show of tensed minerality, pineapple sweetness and lime slate acidity. Fine balance on a tight rope. White flowers on a white bed of marble, orange blossoms and crystalline minerality. This is excellent. Everything in place and great finese. A harmonius yet nervous wine. The best Alsace riesling I have had in recent memory.

Sweet peach and lemongrass and orange blossoms on the nose. Good balance and gentle acidity. Apricots and orange peel and peaches. Very nice.

Ripe, fresh, young, amazing. Apricots, peaches, oranges, but also all classic Riesling notes.
