I'm not familiar with Mittelrhein Rieslings so don't know if this is typical, but it seems a lot fruitier, less stony than what I'm used to from the Mosel. Lots of peach and grapefruit and a little slate. Seems sweet for a Spatlese of this age. I'd give 3 more years at least to see if it gains depth.

First bottle of this wine and I rated it VG++, which I think is a 92-93. No detailed notes and this was consumed a couple of weeks ago. memory lapse. Drinking very nicely now.
