  • Stunning from the moment the bottle was opened. Lichees, almonds, flowers (roses?), hard-to-identify citrus, incredibly long aftertaste. Astonishingly youthful. Unlike the bottle of 2/14/20, this one did *not* fade with time in the glass. Just wonderful. If this bottle is typical there's no hurry at all--!! [Tasted over three hours from the Jancis Robinson glass. No meaningful change at all in the glass over that time.]

  • An utterly beautiful wine. At its absolute peak right now. Lichees, roses, tangerines, almonds. A touch of sweetness. Flavors that build and build in the mouth, and a lovely long aftertaste that goes on and on and on and on. The wine started to fade after about 25 minutes in the glass. If this bottle was typical (cork and fill level were both perfect), this wine should stay in good shape for at least 2 years--probably longer, but why take chances with something so wonderful? This wine is very sensitive to serving temperature--serve as close to 55F as is practical.
