New Years Eve Celebration (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Very dark purple red color. splash decant and 5hr slow-O. Followed 1 glass over 90 minutes. The nose was pleasant up front, had some nice black fruit, charcoal, chewy and savory in character, graphite, but somewhat sharp and angular. Was better initially and showed too much wood and heat in the finish.
Red ink color, loads of flavor and depth and easily a few years to peak but drinking nicely now. Blueberry, dark red persimmon and currant with a flinty mineral tinge. If this is their best wine reject, I have got to go for the best.

(Mas Doix Priorat Salanques) Deep red violet color; tight, tart red fruit and oak nose; odd tart entry, tight with high acidity and tannin, tart red fruit; medium finish (60% Grenache, 25% Carignane, 5% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Syrah)
(MAS DOIX PRIORAT SALANQUES) #2; COLOR-very dark; NOSE-tight, young; TASTE-Wow!! Enormous amounts of black currant, blackberry reduction sauce, underlying hickory, cedar box & leather; 15% alcohol, but NO heat, unbelievable effort, I really like this wine; a little young (palate is a very dry), should age for 5-7 years; JR-91; GV-92
