Tasted blind during the lunch. Bottle was opened and left for bottle breath about an hour. Intense dark garnet with good vibrant hue, nose is fresh and expressive with bright red fruits, toasted oak, dark berry fruits, spice and hints of leather. It has a fresh entry with sweet and bright fruits and showing ripe fruits on palate, exhibits blackberry, plum and black cherry. Medium bodied with structure showing up at mid-palate, firm and dry. Ending with dried herbs and spicy aftertaste and grippy tannins. This bottle showing amazingly well and fresh, and gradually develop some earthy rustic notes during 2 hours of drinking. Very well made for a hot vintage, showing sweet and ripe fruits but not pungent.
WS Offline (Lucio's BYOB - Houston): Very nice Cab Franc character with black fruit and herbal notes. Lots of oak influence in the way of coffee and chocolate - perhaps a bit much for my tastes. Lowish acidity and a very rich, intense palate. A fine wine - not my style.
