Pale straw with a weak nose of apricot and citrus. On the palate... sharp sharp acidity! Very tangy and loaded with citrus, concentrated apricot, and a little pineapple. The acid attack is paled by the big acid finish. On its own, this wine is overly acidic and pretty one-dimensional. However, after the initial tasting, I had this wine with a chicken in mushroom cream sauce dish. The balance was perfect matched the food and and suddenly this wine was a delicious accompaniment to the chicken. Still, it's no star.
Not so hot on its own (I'd give it an 81), this gruner is a fantastic match with food and I'd go for it with lighter dishes (I'd give it a 89-90 appropriately matched). Excellent QPR for food.

Citrus and tropical notes, with bright acidity. Fruit forward, dry to semi-dry so those who enjoy a hint of sweetness will really enjoy this. Medium to full bodied, with a slight mineral finish in the background. This is a rising star in the world of white wines. If you want to try a new white that resembles a dry riesling, or just impress your friends with a little known varietal, pick up a bottle of "Gru Vee" and enjoy!
