Dark red; Casis, cherry, dry leaves. In mouth is delicate, woodsy and stays long enough. Good overall wine to drink by itself or to serve with pasta, red meat and roasted veggies.

Dark ocre red, robust. Plum, smoke and cedar. Sweet first impression in mouth persistent aftertaste. I had a greek salad, tortilla española and serrano. Great companion!

FOund this to be a nice wine. A bit alcoholic and sharp when initially opened . . . Showed hints of dried fruit on the nose along with herb and spice qualities.
A little past it's peak drinking age, but IMO, still showed well. Medium bodied with dried fruits (dried blueberries, rpunes, blackberries), medium layers of spices, earthiness, and a good 10+ second finish. Paired it with lightly spicy pasta dish.
Perhaps because of the age, it had an expression I liked (my GF almost didn't like it). Enjoyable!

The smell was light and vibrant, pleasantly fruity. The taste was light also, but still satisfying. I like this Valpolicella because people who don't like wine like it.
