Dark purple in the glass. Rich nose of dark fruits and earth with hints of coffee, medium bodied in the mouth with lots more dark fruits that seem to get a little bitter with time, soft tannins and a smooth if slightly short finish. Excellent for the price.
sorry, gotta speak my mind here. initial taste out of the bottle was nice, smooth fruity aromas of a nice malbec... but give the thing a chance to breathe and it takes on a nasty harsh nature. first glass was fine, but an hour later it started to turn ugly on me, and leaving it sit overnight was definitely not the right decision. Open it and pound it down smartly and you'll get a 88 rating, but for an extended tasting time it just doesn't show well. I won't be restocking this vintage.
