Very good, getting a bit 'long in the tooth' so to speak judging by it's appearance, but a very good Cali Pinot nonetheless - It was brick red, extracted with very defining amber rim, notes of strong cherry and oak on the nose, complex and structured, nicely balanced with medium length, great effort! (89 Points).

Deep red, with brownish rim, cherry/earth nose, balanced to the point of boredom, smooth on the palate with a medium finish - Very nice, however not really memorable overall (87 Points).

On the nose, hints of cherries and a touch of nutmeg. In the glass, clear faded red, with hints of garnet at the rim. However, on the palate, it's tart cherries and raspberries, with muted fruit and little in the way of a finish. It's drinkable, and it's better with food, but I was hoping for quite a bit more, as I've had better luck with previous Byron pinots.

A dark horse, very focused with tons of rip fruit layered with spice and buffering acidity, very powerful and impressive for Santa Maria

agree with other reviewer, not as good as other Byron Pinots I've had. Wouldn't buy again.
