A perfectly stored bottle from the BB&R Family Reserves.
Lovely Bordeaux nose beginning to turn and show "mature claret" notes.
Blackberry, blackcurrant, some cherry, plum fruits along with pencil shavings, some sweet tobacco and smoke. Similar on palate. Good concentration, structure and balance. I love the cedar and graphite on finish. This still has a long life ahead.

Earthy nose with a bit of old school cab veg. Slate and graphite with dark fruits. Firm tannins (typical St-Estephe), but with the age it’s really quite elegant. It has some life left but it might be near the top of aging, will consume the rest inside of 2 years.

Eric broght this bottle to the Dragon Vintage gathering and served it well. All of us guessed the right vintage (hot), but as a right shore BDX, as it was deep purple, blossom nose of dark fruits, smooth and mouthfull, strong structure and long after taste. An impress Cos to me so far.

A robust, deep purple hue. The nose is filled with dark, rich fruits. Deep, intense, and endlessly lingering. The 2000 vintage is splendid, yet it possesses even more aging potential.

(Château Cos d'Estournel) Very dark red violet color; lifted, ripe currant, cedar nose; rich, silky textured, cassis, ripe black currant, tobacco palate; medium-plus finish 93+ points
(Château Cos d'Estournel) Very dark ruby color; appealing, ripe currant, cedar, olive, coffe nose; maturing, tart cherry, ripe currant, olive, cedar palate with good balancing acidity; could use 2-3 more years; medium-plus finish 93+ points
(Château Cos d'Estournel) Dark red violet color; tart black fruit, tobacco and mushroom nose; lovely tart plum, cedar, tobacco and mineral palate; medium finish 93+ pts.
(Cos d'Estournel) Cocoa, raspberry liquor and complex mineral tones on the nose. Lush and glyceril with dense, silky primary fruit. Black fruits with a red streak. Pretty elegant and does a little mambo on the palate. Super concentrated but done in a kind of "spoofilated" new-world style. Very different and less traditional than the '95 Cos the other week. I still liked it
(Château Cos d'Estournel) Dusty, grapey, mushroom and earthy nose; tannic, earthy, cassis, coffee palate; medium finish

Tasty but not quite right, certainly not in line with the last bottle.
