PnP on a Friday night at home - which was a mistake, as the wine needs a good 90 min in the open bottle to come together. Completely soaked cork but a very good fill. Garnet with only slight browning at the rim. Seems a bit tired upon opening with some bitter notes and plenty of leather immediately but gains more fruit later. Some barnyard and forest floor, the typical Shiraz spiciness, grilled meat. Fairly high acidity makes it still fresh to drink. Medium body, medium finish. A good wine but a bit surprised by all these recent note and scores in the mid 90s - perhaps not the best bottle?

I had a few bottles of this but hadn't opened one in a few years. It was immediately brilliant on the nose with a pine and mushroom must that carried a hint of candied cherry. After 20-30 minutes with the bottle open but not decanted, it was dark, rich and thick with great slightly-viscos fruit, forest floor and red fruit.

This is the best bottle of this I've had. Still rich dark fruit; muddled blackberries, mushroom and forest floor.
