  Transparent ruby color. Nose is perfumedly complex, pinewood, biscuit, fruit cake, earthy, soya sauce, mushroom. The palate is red-berries-driven supported by the fresh acidity. Respect to a Volnay at this age that still delivers. Uncork and wait for 1- 1.5 hr to open up.

  This wine is clearly on the way down but is still a great pleasure to drink. Color is still vibrant and the nose shows the lots of strawberry fruit, flowers, tea leaves and forest floor. Tannins are pretty much gone but there is sufficient acidity and decent length. Very enjoyable but drink up soon!
