Surprisingly good wine for its pedigree. Well developed and balanced, solid acidity as a backbone to circus and ever so slight tropical fruits. Punched above its weight for sure. Glad i have one bottle left, but not for long...

Like the Tessons sampled a few weeks ago, this bottle presents its commune and vintage characteristics with subtlety. On the nose, somewhat less smoky and more generous in the ripe orchard fruit department (especially peach) than the Tessons; it too underplays "Meursault" as a madrigal instead of a brass band. Again strikingly mineral and floral in the mouth, with moderate density and richness and a good lashing of acid that supports a long, graceful finish.

popped and poured. awesome nose of citrus and stones. The palate is very ripe and full with good cut and grip as well- great balance. Not as minerally as I expected, more on the fruit side, but a delicious drink.

(Fichet Meursault Les Gruyaches) This was tight at first but had wonderful purity and focus. Pretty tropical for a Fichet but nice nuttines and minerality. Needed the longest to get "there" of the trio but when it did it was stunning with great depth of fruit and wonderful buffering acidity. Tightly knit wine that was probably shut down but still was very enjoyable.

On the fruity side as mentioned. Pineapple, guava. Nice balance of oak. A little flabby in the middle.

Very concentrated but with excellent balance of fruit, sugar and acids. Best on the back end and very promising.
