Aerated in decanter for nearly 7 hours, and needed every bit of it to let loose the rather pungent farm/soil aromas (that I didn't mind, but my guests sure would have). Still a remarkable ruby color with little sign of age; sediment was mostly fine and not nearly to the volume expected. Aromas of red currants, soil/place, some iron, etc. Palate is a mature, but still lively medium body with avg/avg+ complexity and depth. Has held up remarkably well, and can continue to cellar for another 5+ years if desired. recommended
