First of three bottles. A bit murky but the aromatics are beautiful. Nice, aged character with plenty of fig and raisin aromas. Baking spices, really nice complexity, plenty of freshness, nutty and spicy finish. A treat.

Aromas of caramel, nut, raisin, brown sugar and a whiff of heat. Flavors of raisin, dried nuts, prune, touch of mocha and a bit of heat. Ends with a great finish of 35-40 seconds with melted Chocolate and nut notes. Certainly one of the best tawny ports I have ever had in spite of the heat. So complex and so smooth.

Krohn Tawny Tasting (P81): Packed with dark caramel and brown sugar but also a huge acidity. Lots of flavor depth and a solid aftertaste. Impressive wine with a lot of sweetness but still kept in balance with an impressive acidity.

Clear bright orange/red. Huge nose of dried apricot, blond caramel and walnuts. A decent bit of heat as well. Delicious earthy fig and apricot flavours. Spirity sweet finish. For me the alc. softens the sweetness.
