A first for me and a great experience. Managed to guess the appellation and the year, thank you very much. Old school wine, sings of the land, has olives, stone, blood galore - on the nose almost Cornas, but the taste is much lighter - quite elegant. Fully mature, I think, a treat to taste, thank you PB. #XmaslunchChezMoi#PB

Lovely mature Syrah notes of game, smoke, red fruit, and leather. Really well balanced with some iron notes on top of the flavors from the nose. Nice finish. Consistent with previous bottles. In the zone right now!

Super old-school style syrah. Elegant nose with generous red fruits and a serious dose of green olives and smoke. On the palate, you get glossy sweet fruit on the attack before this becomes a little more structural and the acidity takes over. Perhaps even a little stemmy on the finish. Not as good as my last bottle so many years ago -- for my palate, this is nearing the downslope of the plateau.

Big and toasty, showed better this morning than last night. Very classic flavors, quite nice. At peak or just past.
