Dark and ripe. The flavors and notes changed and came back around with air time. I won't bore you with all of them but some highlights were cinnamon, blackberry, anise, red fruit and chocolate. Might have called it a Zinfandel if blind but non-blind the grenache is identifiable. Not tired at all but I can't say it's built for a lot longer cellaring.

Classic Paso style, with blueberry, rich mouthfeel, minerals and violets. There is sufficient acidity to balance the large scaled fruit, and tannins are soft.
