decanted for 1 hour, tannic and allo over black olive on nose and palate. softer and more open and complex after 24 hours in the decanter. this still needs time, wait another 2-3 years until opening the next bottle.
Bought this bottle 2003 in Barbaresco at the Produttori. This drinks perfectly right know but I guess it will stay like this for another 5-10 years. Typical nebbiolo nose of violets and cherries but also I have some lavender and licorice. The wine is medium to full bodied and still quite chewy (tannins), but I guess the distinctive acidity will carry it even longer.
Tasted in a horizontal of Produttori wines across all vineyards from 1999-2001. This is in that stage where it is showing youth and age at the same time. Very balanced and delicious with good intensity.
