This tastes very similar to the Picaro that JanKris offers, with very subtle Zin. Obvious cherry and blackberry, light on the tannins, and spicy to boot. Nothing spectacular, but still a memorable blend.

Said it before I'll say it again; HUGE bottle variation on this one. This 3rd bottle is the best of the lot. Bright fruit balanced with some nice dirt and spice. Drank very much like the Sangio that dominated the blend.

Popped and poured. Deep red to purple; no brickishness. Zin-like nose of blackberries, pepper, and meat. Sour cherries mid-palate, oakiness, some tannins, short-medium finish. Would have scored higher if it had complemented dinner better. Overall it was consistent with the last bottle, and is still the best of the JanKris lot I've had.

Bland bouquet. A little bit of berry on the front, strong granny smith apple on the finish. Very tart finish.
Light body.

Not terrible once it opens up slightly, cherry, blackberry, spice. Decent tannins and better with food.
