  Super charming with a great balance between new world and old. Heady with tremendous aromas of lavender, pomegranate, and plum brandy. The palate is well resolved with crisp berry compote flavors, complicating floral notes, supple tannins, and a chalky sweet density. The type of wine that should be typical rather than atypical for California.

  Dark red-purple color.. Grape-y and boysenberry nose. On arrival, low tannin, low acidity, slightly fizzy. Residual sweetness, not finished dry. Gobs of boysenberry fruit. Finishes sweet and overripe. Disappointing. Bottle #2 of two.

  Purchased on release, this wine seemed early peak. Purple in color and packed with blackberry fruit, crushed rocks, anise and olive/meat notes, this really opened up with time in the decanter. It was blind called young N Rhone syrah which I understood. Will try my next in 3-5 years.
