  • Full, voluptuous Syrah that has retained its red and black fruit with mellow tannin structure. I was very pleased with this Winebid purchase and that the Tablas Creek Syrahs hold so well

  • Dark purple and a firm nose of ripe dark fruit with some tar, smoke, and spice. Good firm entry and grip on the mid palate with a good sense of fruit, which was again, on the ripe and dark side, and not showing many layers of personality...short of monolithic. Framed well with a tannic structure that held it together in the middle and was even stronger on the finish...almost overpowering the fruit. Time in a bottle...

  • pretty good, a bit more time might help.

  • Rich, dark and almost opaque in it's color density. Strong but backward aromas of dark berries, prunes and spice. The tannic structure was strong from the first sip and was just short of puckering strong with a pepper bite to boot. Opened early in the day for smoked baby back ribs that it paired well with. Food helped a lot. But coming back hours after the meal...it was till strong and not yielding a bit. This has the cojones to hold for an extended period, and I feel it is still young, and long from evolving to what may very well be a wine of extreme substance and personality.
